2007 Canadian/Paint horse with two blue eyes!

Nicknames: Flying Sausage Horse/The Crow

Strengths: Milly is incredibly resilient. Her determination and willingness to please have allowed her to overcome physical boundaries and she has been able to perform in jumping competitions. In 2015, Milly became very sick while at a horse show and we learned that she had renal failure. We spent a week at the veterinary hospital nursing her back to health, and the vet wasn’t sure she would ever be able to be ridden again, or even that she would survive. But Milly dug deep and with the support of her many human friends, she recovered.

Weaknesses: Milly has a difficult time expressing her feelings and especially her pain. When she was ill she put on a stoic face and we did not know anything was wrong with her until it was almost too late.

Interacting with herd mates: Milly likes to spend time alone. She does like other horses to be around but she prefers when the other horses aren’t in close proximity.

Who will like working with Milly: You will enjoy working with Milly if you would like to help Milly learn to express herself more fully. If you live quietly and appreciate subtle nuances in emotion and behaviour you may be drawn to working with Milly.

Milly’s favourite thing: Food! She will eat virtually anything, including food that will make her sick.
